Job description

Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command (HQ AFGSC), Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs and Requirements (A5/8) Site Activation Task Force (SATAF) requires program integration office support located at various AFGSC bases, reporting to HQ AFGSC/A5F. This contract provides Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) to HQ AFGSC with essential expertise and capabilities to ensure AFGSC's bed-down requirements in support of the MH-139 helicopter, B-21 bomber, Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and other new weapons systems. This position is at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport LA. What you'll be doing: Support other DoD stakeholders, including, but not limited to: AFCEC/PA, RCO/SMDC and AFNWC to monitor mainstream and web media information and information and submissions as well as provide draft responses to the AFGSC public affairs officer. Support scoping meetings in Public Affairs capacity for B-21, GBSD, MH-139, and other weapons systems, as required. Synchronize messaging for B-21, GBSD, Minuteman III, MH-139 and other emerging weapons systems as required by HQ AFGSC. Draft public affairs guidance. Coordinate public affairs guidance with stakeholders. Draft public products (news releases, social media posts, stories, etc.) for the PA officer's approval. What you'll need: 7 years of Department of Defense public affairs experience. Graduate of the Department of Defense Information School Officer's Course. Experience working previous public affairs operations bringing on new weapons systems, as well as handling environmental public affairs issues. Active Secret clearance is required. MAJCOM or higher-level experience is highly desired. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
