Lead Service Technician - Pipeline Job Summary

We are seeking a Pipeline Lead Service Technician to oversee and participate in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of pipeline systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of technicians to ensure all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Lead Service Technician will be the go-to person for technical expertise, problem-solving, and coordinating field activities.

Lead Service Technician - Pipeline Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of pipeline service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Perform and oversee maintenance tasks, including cleaning, inspection, coating, and repair of pipelines to ensure integrity and reliability.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for the team. Diagnose complex issues, recommend solutions, and perform advanced repairs on pipeline systems.
  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure the team operates in a safe manner at all times. Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with industry and company safety standards.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and client specifications. Perform regular inspections of completed tasks and provide feedback to technicians.
  • Coordinate daily field operations, including scheduling, equipment allocation, and logistics.
  • Manage the use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and safety checks.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients during service operations, providing updates and addressing any concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the team in responding to emergency situations, including leaks or equipment failures.

Lead Service Technician - Pipeline Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years' experience in the oil/gas equipment industry preferred
  • Extensive travel may be required. Up to 50% of the time
  • Able to perform demanding physical labor in harsh environments on land and offshore
