Marine Electrical Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for marine and offshore projects. You will ensure that all electrical systems meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards while contributing to the successful execution of our marine engineering projects.

Marine Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for marine vessels, offshore platforms, and coastal infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Conduct detailed electrical analyses and simulations to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Prepare and review electrical design documentation, including schematics, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including marine engineers, naval architects, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during design, installation, and operational phases.
  • Ensure that all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as IEC, IEEE, and ABS.

Marine Electrical Engineer Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in marine electrical engineering, with a strong portfolio of marine and offshore electrical projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB).
