Clinical Manager - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Augusta, ME
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No nights, weekends, or holidays)
Compensation: Based on experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Manager who will serve as the primary provider of medical direction and coordination of healthcare services in a clinical setting, under the guidance of the Regional Medical Director. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and accountable healthcare services for patients, businesses, and industries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and foster a positive patient experience, serving as a role model for the clinical team.
- Manage medical treatment activities within the center, collaborating closely with medical directors and other centers.
- Lead and mentor back-office staff, promoting growth through training and development.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and treatments.
- Maintain compliance with medical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the hiring process for center staff, contributing to a cohesive team environment.
- Monitor budgetary needs to ensure medical operations are supported adequately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes and develop best practices.
- Oversee patient assessments, case histories, and treatment plans.
- Facilitate teamwork between clinical and therapy staff, promoting quality patient care.
- Provide ongoing case management and quality assurance oversight.
- Participate in clinical effectiveness reviews, clinic growth planning, and employer relations.
- Address client health and safety needs and lead workplace assessments.
- Engage in client meetings and address service inquiries or concerns.
- Actively participate in community and business development initiatives.
- Committed to providing excellent patient care, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maine.
- FMCSA NRCME certification (provided if not already certified).
- DEA license required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health practices and healthcare delivery requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing minor trauma and orthopedic injuries.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI confidentiality, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain professionalism.
