Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Bottling Manager drives continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Service and Cost across the bottling operation. This includes high speed bottling comprised of 6 lines on 4 AWS teams in a 24/7 operation; the training and development of up to 120 team members,5 supervisors and a coordinator; focusing on achieving desired culture, performance targets and delivering the lowest landed cost per 9L.

  • Lead the bottling department to meet and exceed customer expectations by delivering product on time, within budget and meeting quality specifications. Work with the shipping department and production planning to drive results to improve the SOAR Report, Order Fill Rate and on time shipments.
  • Leads the safety programs for the Bottling department through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of workplace accidents. Leads the investigation of EH&S incidents. Ensure the Bottling Operation meets regulatory requirements including OSHA and EPA. Direct responsibility for bottling supervisors and team members to meet safety KPIs.
  • Leads multi-shift bottling operation to accomplish production requirements within guidelines for safety, quality, cost, service and regulations. In collaboration with other members of the 1820 Spirits Leadership team, plans and implements operational improvements.
  • Conducts PDS reviews with bottling supervisors and bottling coordinator to improve skills and performance of all bottling department employees. Create and execute a personal development plan with the Operations Manager to improve skills/competencies that will improve performance.
  • Leads continuous improvement in production efficiency. Tracks data on efficiency, quality and production to improve throughput. Reduce costs without sacrificing quality or safety. Review and modify processes to ensure customer service goals are achieved and efficiency is optimized.
  • Develop a plan to achieve career development and/or advancement goals. Responsible for developing the department team.
  • Provide leadership in a manner consistent with the Sazerac vision. Ensure employees are treated fairly, with respect and the leadership style is supportive and inclusive across all levels of the organization. Create a team environment where each employee is encouraged to make a difference.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of bottling operation improvements through system and process change. Leads Site New Product Development Team in developing new products, scheduling and executing trials, producing final product within timelines and budgets.
  • Drive the continuous use of KPIs to measure and improve department performance.

Qualifications/Requirements: MUST
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Yes relevant experience (minimum)
  • Yes Supervisory experience

  • Comfort with ambiguity and flexible to changes
  • Proven track record of developing direct reports
PREFERRED
  • APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
  • Familiar with beverage processing and its associated equipment
