The Marine Detailer cleans, buffs, and polishes boat interiors and exteriors in preparation of delivery to a customer. A Detailer may perform some paint and varnish tasks as needed. A Detailer performs quality check on condition of boat prior to customer delivery.

Responsibilities

Cleans and details boats

Vacuum interior to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner; pump bilge.

Using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices treats areas to remove dust, dirt, grease, and grime.

Understanding of various cleaning agents for use on specific boat parts.

Perform fall inventory and clean boats prior to winter storage.

Installs and dismantles Bimini, dodger, cushions, curtains

Set up boat for summer delivery and packs for winter storage.

Reports problems to other departments for repair.

May have heavy contact with customers, requiring diplomacy and pleasant attitude.

Understands and performs all work to Hinckley quality standards

Performs other related duties as necessary

High School diploma or General Equivalency (GED) required

2-3 years Boat or Car Detailing experience preferred

Marine or automotive industry experience preferred
