Job description
Position Summary MAG Aerospace is hiring for a Intermediate Level Network Engineer to provide communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C5ISR challenges facing the Army's current and future forces. This position requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support. The Network Engineer will act as a subject mater expert - SME with regard to next generation technology insertion strategies and integration planning of future C5ISR capabilities. Must be a US Citizen This position is contingent upon contract award Sign-On Bonus Available Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to : Provide analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global war-fighter C5ISR support plan. Support the Government by performing trade-off studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implement and test such methodologies and devices. Serve as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Assure non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts. Requirements Minimum Requirements Experience / Skills: Experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C5ISR systems in an OCONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions is preferred. A minimum of five (5) relevant years of experience with tactical radio communications systems to include; SINCGARS Radio Set, High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets, Legacy SATCOM Radios, software defined radios, and Tactical Networking Radios A minimum of four (4) relevant years of experience working with the planning of tactical communications waveforms such as SINCGARS, Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW), and Tactical Scalable Mannet (TSM), and network planning software such as the Harris CPA, JENM, ACES, RAP-TR, Black Sails and ATOM Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related scientific or technical discipline (will substitute degree for additional years of experience) Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level (i.e. 4 ADDITIONAL years in lieu of a Bachelor's/8 ADDITIONAL years if no degree) Other Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must possess a Secret clearance Special Note The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80000 to $120000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
