Principal Research Scientist Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Continental US CACI is seeking a cleared Principal Research Scientist for our Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD team. The Opportunity: As a team member, you will get to design, develop, and implement Quantum Sensing concepts and theories to improve SIGINT (Signal Intelligence) and EW (Electronic Warfare) systems to help the Army and other DoD entities. Responsibilities: Apply abstract and complex concepts in photonics, cryogenics, semiconductor physics, and superconductivity to meet program objectives and advance state-of-the-art technologies.
Develop and design SIGINT and EW RF Quantum Sensing architectures Conduct studies and feasibility analyses on new and novel theories and products related to new applications of existing technologies and products
Develop prototype components and systems Qualifications: Required: An Active DoD TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
A MS in physics, photonics, cryogenics, semiconductor physics, or superconductivity with a minimum of Twelve years of experience in your field
Experience with RF systems and antennas
Demonstrated high-level experience and achievement with Quantum Sensing
Demonstrated experience with MATLAB or similar filter design
Complete independent research and apply knowledge to meet program objectives and advance the state of the art.
Self-starter with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision Desired: PhD in Physics with a background in photonics, cryogenics, semiconductor physics, or superconductivity
Experience with Army SIGINT and Army EW systems
Familiarity with Rydberg Vapor Cells and Superconducting materials and technologies
Demonstrated expertise with one or more SDR frameworks
Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
