Job description

Mayvin is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. ARAT aims to enhance electronic warfare capabilities through software updates and reprogramming measures. The position will support the Army's approach to rapid software reprogramming that involves threat identification and analysis, comparison of threat changes to current system capabilities, software design, coding and testing in response to the threat, and dissemination of new software to Soldiers in the field. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active Secret clearance. Responsibilities: Windows Enterprise Environment: Manage and maintain both Server and Desktop environments Red Hat Enterprise Linux: Utilize experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux for various tasks and projects Microsoft Applications: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Networking and Security: Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Unix or Windows networks/systems Server Management: Install, upgrade, and manage servers, troubleshoot system issues, and provide essential software support for laptops, desktop PCs, and printers System Configuration: Monitor system configuration, including server event logs, and test operating system software, networking software, and computer hardware Backup Procedures: Develop and monitor procedures for server backups Documentation: Create hardware lists, software lists, network diagrams, network data flow diagrams, SOPs, and other necessary documentation Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field and 5 years of relevant work experience. 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Information Assurance (IA) Trained and Certified per the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement; in accordance with the most current DoDM 8140.03 Experience in Windows Enterprise environment including Server and Desktop Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience Proficiency in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Unix or Windows networks/systems Preferred Qualifications: Top Secret clearance Experience with AWS, Azure, and other Cloud technologies Knowledge of Docker and containerization About Mayvin: Mayvin offers our employees an innovative culture, excellent benefits and amenities, an inclusive work environment, ongoing career development, and recognition and rewards to honor hard work.
