System Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer to provide software engineering and integration expertise in support of software and system development for an Intel Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This role will integrate cross-functional, multi-platform application systems with a focus on delivering efficient and reliable solutions by combining hardware, software, networking and storage products from multiple vendors. The System Integrator is accountable for partnering with various teams in identifying options, developing solutions, and providing technical direction. Responsibilities include the combination of subsystems into one integrated solution with recommendations regarding hardware needs and solutions, as well as, providing hands on integration on both Linux and Windows platforms and offering system design efficiencies. Implement integrations adhering to configurations to provide a repeatable and sustainable product ensuring both operational and security needs are met. Performs duties in support of both in-house and external customers, as well as consistently share best practices and improve processes within the integration team. Offers support during both internal and external test events which validate the subsystems are fully mission capable prior to delivering critical systems to the end user. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Responsibilities: Work on a team integrating and maintaining thick client and web-based thin-client software applications. Provision hardware for software installation. Derive requirements through interactions with the project management and systems engineering teams. Integrate, test, deploy and maintain server and workstation software applications ensuring that the subsystems function together as a system. Follow Software deployment best practices. Follow Configuration management workflows. Support System Integration testing. Follow Software deployment best practices. Qualifications: Required: BA/BS with 3-10yrs experience or Associates degree plus 4yrs experience to the base 3-10yrs requirement. Associate Degree plus 4yrs is the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree. No degree plus 6yrs experience to the base 3-10yrs requirement. 6yrs experience is the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree. An active TS/SCI Clearance with Poly. Provide integration expertise in support of system development. Derive requirements through interactions with the project management and systems engineering teams. Experience Integration, Testing, Deploying and Maintaining Software Applications. Experience with Configuration management workflows. Experience Supporting Integration testing. Must currently be DoD 8570 Compliant IAW IAT Level II. Desired: Dataflow Skills/Experience - NiFi, ActiveMQ. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Networking skills that include WAN's, LAN's, routers and switches for troubleshooting. Hands on experience of server rack integration. Experience working with end users for Tier III support. Cloud Services and virtualization. Operational experience in SIGINT. Understanding of Army baselines. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
