Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES Know the Air Force District of Washington classified and unclassified environment and determine if systems/services are offline or degraded
Communicate the operational status with the Ops Watch team, customers, and Major Incident Response (MIR).
Create incident tickets based on alerts from monitoring tools.
Track the status of down nodes and services.
Understand how monitoring tools work and their limitations.
Work to improve monitoring capabilities through feedback to the Enterprise Monitoring Team who maintains the toolset.
Actively participate in troubleshooting outages in support of MIR. Report what you see and assist in any other way possible. Take this time to recognize the limitations of our monitoring tools and identify those limitations as requirements to EMT afterward and in the After-Action Reports. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Active IAT II certification
Experience with BMC Remedy Ticketing System
Experience using network monitoring tools
3-5 years' experience in the Air Force District of Washington environment.
A solid understanding of Network equipment, their capabilities, and architecture.
3-5 years of System Administration experience.

The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.
