Job description

This position is hybrid remote and requires one to be onsite 1 day a week in Annapolis Junction, MD or Colorado Springs, CO (This could be changed based on government customers' needs) Must be local to DC, MD, VA, and Colorado Spring, CO areas or within 2 hours of commute PRISM seeks a skilled and detail-oriented App Tester to join our team. In this role, you will have a strong understanding of software quality assurance and testing methodologies, with a focus on app development and testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile and web applications. Responsibilities:
Develop test plans and cases: Create comprehensive test plans and automated test cases to be used in conjunction with CI/CD pipelines. Document test results: Record test case results and troubleshoot any test or operational failures. Maintain test environment: Manage and maintain a production-like test environment, including installing operating systems, databases, and applications. Collaborate with teams: Work closely with application development and operations teams to ensure high-quality releases. Develop test cases: Create automated and manual test cases for system-to-system interfaces. Perform testing: Conduct regression, IV&V, and other types of testing as needed. Develop automation scripts: Develop and maintain automated test scripts, data sets, and scenarios. Participate in meetings: Help set agendas and participate in technical, operational readiness, change management, and risk review board meetings. Ensure quality: Ensure testing conclusions and recommendations are supported by test results and inform the project manager of testing status and application deviations. Participate in risk management: Contribute to all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware deployment. Track issues: Participate in review walkthrough sessions and track issues to resolution. Collect metrics: Gather metrics to measure test progress and quality outcomes. Work on projects: Participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, including test case development and testing.
Knowledge of databases, operating systems, applications, web servers, SQL, and database query tools.
Understanding software verification and validation processes, procedures, and requirements development methodologies.
Experience with configuration management tools, automated test tools, and processes.
Knowledge of DevOps and agile support/development methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills, test case development expertise, test automation development, attention to detail, and experience with user interfaces, system interfaces, databases, and SQL.
Ability to provide effective and adequate technical documentation.
Experience with SQL queries, databases, web applications, IBM Message Queueing (MQ), database and application clustering, web services, Windows, security, heterogeneous environments, and networks. Familiarity with Remedy and Rational ClearQuest.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Willingness to support work on nights and weekends and be included in an on-call rotation.
