Job description
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Operator/Developer/Analyst (CODA). In this role, you will provide technical and engineering support in the exploitation of commercial network infrastructure and computer systems. This role resides in our Cyber departmentand reports to our Program Manager. This position is in the Ft. Meade, MD area with a 10% travel requirement. SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Core Responsibilities: Will have an understanding of cyber operations with expertise in enterprise computer and telecommunication network systems. Provide technical and analytical support in the exploitation of commercial network infrastructure and computer systems. As an Analyst, you will have an understanding of enterprise computer network defense (CND), with expertise in computer and telecommunication network systems and cyber operations. You should have a strong understanding of common digital network packet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP) and network analysis tools (e.g. tcpdump, Wireshark). Assist in the research, acquisition, and development of tools and concepts for operations. Development duties to be performed include analysis of shell scripts, binaries, and source code as well as the documentation of all tools developed and analysis performed. Provide technology task management support to include Project skills, Requirements Analysis, Systems Engineering, Operations and Maintenance, Network/Systems Administration, and Configuration Management for the FBI Program Systems. Provide and be responsible for project direction through successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse project management tasks. Senior CODAs will direct completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints, while interfacing with client counterparts when appropriate. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, Information Assurance, and/or Network Administration Minimum of 18 years of experience in similar roles. RIOT/FORGE/CNOQC certification Knowledge of data forensics, network analysis, systems administrator tactics, techniques/procedures. Experience in computer network defense and overwatch tactics, techniques, and procedures. CLI Experience on Linux Understanding of Network Design Scripting skills in Bash/Python Experience with operations; preferably in a semi-automatic scripted operations Excellent critical thinking skills/ability to function in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to work collaboratively Experience in computer network protocols and network analysis tools. Travel to the office will be required for meetings and collaboration. The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $185,000per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our compensation philosophy, which takes into account various factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, skills, LCATs rates and position level, and market competitiveness. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation to include our growth incentive program, incentives and benefits. The final salary offer will be determined after a thorough review of the candidate's background and alignment with the role.
