Our work depends on a Lab Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA, or Annapolis Junction, MD. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Lab Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with daily operations, maintenance, data center design, and security of lab environments mirroring production. In this role, a typical day may include: Designing and implementing Windows domain and child domain architectures
Analyzing customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implemented designed solutions
Guiding customers in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies
Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Providing technical leadership regarding the integration of requirements, design, and technology
Integrating new plans, designs, and systems into existing builds
Developing system architecture and system design documentation
Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of systems engineering management plans and systems integration and test plans
Interacting with the Government customers regarding Systems Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education (BA/BS) and years of experience.
Familiarity with monitoring solutions, and enterprise security compliance requirements
Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMWare infrastructure and the deployment of virtual machine instances

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
