We are seeking an experienced Senior AIX Administrator to join our team. As a Senior AIX Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AIX-based infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the stability and security of our AIX environment.
Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS218, T2, Band 5 Specific Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain the AIX-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure performance and reliability • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams when necessary, and maintain security measures to protect servers and infrastructure • Perform backups, restores, server upgrades and maintenance, and AIX performance tuning • Manage project teams with relevancy and background in IBM AIX environments • Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and ensure adherence to security policies
Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree: additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a related field • Per contract requirements candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance • Must be based around the Annapolis Junction, MD area and be available for on-site work.

Desired Skills: • Certified IBM AIX Certified System Administrator • Team player, fast learner with ability to work proactively and independently to support mission critical operations supporting geographically diverse locations.

Pay Transparency Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. Annual Base Pay Minimum for this Position $ 59,800.00 Annual Base Pay Maximum for this Position $ 105,000.00
