Job Title: Senior Windows System Administrator Location(s): Annapolis Junction, Maryland Hours: Regular Full-Time Clearance Requirements This position requires a current and active Top Secret at the time of application. What you will be doing: Provide subject matter expertise (SME) technical support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows legacy IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support Windows IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client problems. Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Creates and/or maintains operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs. Modifies existing software as well as create special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications. Provides technical support to maintain network attached and direct attached storage devices as needed. Provide senior-level Tier II or Tier III subject matter expertise (SME) technical support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Solaris and Windows legacy IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to Linux and Windows IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client problems. Provides second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues. Ability to independently provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Includes support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware, software applications, mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Creates and/or maintains operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs. Modifies existing software and creates special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications. Provides technical support to maintain network attached and direct attached storage devices as needed. Responsible for Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing Oracle database programs and instances. Monitors legacy databases and related systems to ensure optimized database performance. Experience with ACAS Scans, Analysis, and resolving issues. Experienced with applying patches (Windows, DB (Oracle). Position Requirements Minimum Requirements: Experience: Ten (10) years of experience Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware, software applications, mainframe, mini, or client/server based Experience in Windows Systems administration is required. Understanding of DoD security requirement and application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university Two (2) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor s degree Knowledge/Skills : Required Certifications: CompTIA Security + CE or equivalent Physical Demands: Requires the ability to lift packages/equipment NTE 50lbs.
