Job description

ACADEMIC GASTROENTEROLOGIST (03-) The Inflammatory Bowel team in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Downtown, Midtown and at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Centers seeks a full-time, board certified/board eligible Gastroenterologist to join our nationally recognized multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease program to care for a diverse and complex cohort of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. IBD faculty collaborate with our experts in colorectal surgery, our IBD pharmacist, and our specialized social worker provider to streamlined patient care. Our IBD faculty also contribute to our clinical research enterprise and educate trainees on the care of IBD patients. Expected faculty rank will be at the level of Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and
experience.

In addition to board certification, this position requires an MD/DO degree from an accredited school (or foreign equivalent), and eligibility for an unrestricted Maryland license. The successful candidate must possess medical and personal skills to facilitate clinic and inpatient consultations, teach fellows, supervise APPs, and perform routine endoscopy. Clinical research experience is desirable.
