Our client, a well-known non-profit organization in Baltimore County, MD, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Budgeting & Financial Reporting to join their team. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of remote work and 1-2 days on-site/work presence.


About the Role:

Our client is in search of a strategic and analytical Director of Budgeting & Financial Reporting who will play a critical role in overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. The Director of Budgeting & Reporting will serve as a business partner to the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Director of Finance, and division leaders. The Director of Budgeting & Financial Reporting will ensure accurate financial analysis and reporting, contributing to the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting process, including the development and implementation of annual budgets.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Develop tools and reports for budgeting and financial analysis
  • Developing formats for different level presentations
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the financial reporting team, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously improve financial reporting processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4+years of financial analysis experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Advanced experience using Tableau, Solver, DrillPoint or equivalent advanced reporting software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
