Job description

GPAC, in partnership with a well-established Miscellaneous Metal Fabrication company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Ironworker Foreman to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an amazing team and work with a respected leader in the construction field.

The Ironworker Foreman will have the following responsibilities:• Lead a team of up to 3 ironworkers • Manage projects that involve railings, stairs, and light structural steel• Supervise the safety and efficiency of team members• Read blueprints, drawings and calculations to determine the specific structural and fabrication requirements of the project• Measure, cut, and weld various steel components • Apply knowledge of mathematics and welding techniques• Operate equipment such as welding machines, plasma cutters, and grinders • Adhere to OSHA safety regulations• Monitor job progress against established timelines • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

The ideal Ironworker Foreman will have the following skills: • 5 years of experience in an Ironworker role • Working foreman experience • An understanding of fabrication, welding, and measurement• The ability to read and interpret blueprints• Organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities• Strong written and verbal communication skills• A valid driver's license • Ability to travel for projects• Railings and Stairs fabrication experience a plus

The Ironworker Foreman position offers a competitive salary of $27 to $32 per hour, as well as standard benefits, profit sharing, 401k, vacation, and a company vehicle. If traveling, per diem is also offered.
