Job description

Job Title: Lifecycle Acquisition Specialist Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist to support the preparation and development of key procurement and acquisition documentation. This role will be responsible for preparing and coordinating a wide range of acquisition documents to reflect the technical and operational requirements of the government. The specialist will collaborate with government stakeholders and program managers to facilitate the acquisition process and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained. Key Responsibilities: Prepare acquisition documents including but not limited to: Service Contract Approval requests (SCAs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Statements of Objective (SOOs), labor category descriptions, Justification and Approval Documents (J&As), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs). Develop acquisition plans (APs) and acquisition strategies (ASs), limited competition memos, sole-source justifications, and support in proposal evaluations. Facilitate the processing of contract invoices through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) and provide regular updates on funds expended-to-date and variance analysis. Collaborate closely with Program Managers and support post-award activities by preparing status updates, addressing any significant issues, and assisting in contract execution. Input and review data in portfolio management database applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and produce validated reports for government leadership. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of experience (preferably more) in supporting contract formation and procurement documentation, such as SCAs, PWSs, SOWs, SOOs, J&As, QASPs, acquisition plans, and strategies. Previous experience working within a Department of Defense (DoD) Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM), or Product Manager (O5 PdM) environment. Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and processes, with a proven ability to draft and manage complex procurement documentation. Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but four (4) years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Familiarity with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) and portfolio management database applications is required. Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience with acquisition support and working within DoD or other federal contracting environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government and contractor personnel at all levels.
