Job description
Job Description We are seeking a Knowledge Manager to work with a Government Intelligence Community client. Responsibilities: Develop, manage, update, and maintain KM systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, databases, internal websites) for storing, sharing, and utilizing data.
Advise on the best use of KM tools to enhance information sharing of analysis, assessments, legislative materials, policies, strategies, budget materials, IT information, and other relevant documents.
Train system users, including IC partners, and provide user guides as needed.
Integrate information with other databases as required.
Utilize automated tools and visualizations to facilitate user access and the ability to analyze information holdings.
Create and maintain virtual communities of interest to enable ICs to collaborate, store, search, and discover information, share lessons learned and best practices, and track metrics to assess progress against various programs, policies, and strategies.
Develop simulations and exercises to test database readiness and communication channels.
Identify opportunities to improve information exchanges across systems and between the Government and private sectors.
Maintain and update a customer-wide repository for instructions, Internal Process Documents (IPDs), and policy memoranda.
Build data repositories for various mission needs that automatically generate visualizations to support analysis, reporting, and briefings.
Must Have's: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or no degree and 9+ years of experience.
Entry-level experience with Knowledge Management processes and methodologies, including organizational studies and evaluations, system design and procedures, work simplification, and measurement studies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
Strong Sharepoint experience
Working knowledge of quality control/testing to provide feedback on the functioning of web features in displaying content.
Excellent process-oriented organizational skills to ensure a well-organized repository and pipeline of content for review and upload.
Demonstrated open communication and effective collaboration with team members and supervisors to enable continuous performance improvement.
Ability to employ specific tools for unique office needs, which may include interoperability with or ability to share information with other IC or state and local partners.
