Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive DevSecOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead their technical team. This role focuses on optimizing the on-premises setup and developing a next-generation pipeline on the cloud. The SME will drive the adoption of DevSecOps best practices, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery processes. Responsibilities: • Provide Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor the technical team in DevSecOps methodologies, tools, and practices. • Develop Next-Generation CI/CD Pipelines: Create and manage CI/CD pipelines both on-premises and in the cloud, utilizing cloud-native technologies and services for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring. • End-to-End CI/CD Management: Oversee the entire CI/CD process, from design and implementation to maintenance and optimization. • Collaborate for Optimization: Work with stakeholders to assess the current on-premises setup, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance security, scalability, and performance. • Implement Security Controls: Establish security protocols to protect systems and data across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the adoption of IaC principles and practices, enabling code-based automation for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources. • Architect Secure Solutions: Utilize DevSecOps cloud computing skills to design and deploy secure, scalable solutions on platforms such as AWS. • Solve Complex Problems: Address exceptionally complex problems requiring extensive subject matter expertise, providing innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement. • Facilitate Cross-Functional Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams to align DevSecOps initiatives with business objectives and project requirements. • Conduct Training Sessions: Educate team members on DevSecOps principles, tools, and emerging technologies through training sessions and workshops. • Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness in DevSecOps practices. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. • Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, system administration, or related roles, with a focus on security and automation. • Certifications: DevOps Engineer (DASA) certification is highly desirable. • Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing technical teams, with strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills. • DevSecOps Expertise: Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, methodologies, and best practices, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security controls. • Cloud Proficiency: Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, with experience in architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions. • Technical Skills: Strong scripting, automation, and UNIX administration skills. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions. • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively. • Clearance: Must be able to obtain/maintain a customer Public Trust clearance.
