Location: Bethesda, MD (Free parking or easily accessible by metro)

Schedule: Position will be 24 hours/week. Preference is Monday through Thursday (6 hours/day) or option to work Monday -Wednesday (8 hours/day). Should have a consistent schedule during standard business hours of 9am - 5pm.

Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist will be downloading data and separating the pieces:
    • Will get a batch of 10-15 PDF's (Bank of America bank logs and actual checks)
    • Then separate them by property
    • Once they have the 20-30 centers, that goes into the workflow process (BP Logic), and create cash receipt batch in MRI
    • The PDF of that batch is also saved in BP Logic and Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist will apply cash to different charges.
    • Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist will then match the totals with the check amounts (making sure the total batch amount equals the check amounts/total).
  • The next step is for the Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist to send on to lease review. If approved by lease review, then Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist would pass on to the accountants to post the cash.
  • Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested

Requirements:

  • AP or AR clerical experience for Part Time Cash Receipts Specialist
  • Cash receipts process experience is a must in order to understand the underlying concept of it
  • MRI is system but any type of ERP/accounting software experience is fine
  • Real estate experience is a plus but NOT required
  • Degree is a plus but NOT required
  • Basic Excel skills
