Responsibilities This is a full time position onsite in West Bethesda, MD. Peraton directly supports the USN submarine fleet and is looking for a Submarine Acoustic Data Analyst to process and analyze submarine sensor data. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sonar Technicaian Submarines (STS) to apply his Navy experience and continue supporting the deploying submarine fleet.
The successful candidate will process, analyze, and report on USN submarine acoustic sensor data to establish sensor health. Perform numerical analysis of new sensor data for research purposes.
This will require working with USN, government, and Peraton engineers to diagnose sensor and data issues in recorded acoustic data. Qualifications Required Education and Skills Requires a minimum of a High School diploma and at least seven years experience as a submarine sonar technician (STS) or a BS degree and at least three years experience some of which includes experience as an STS. Experience performing platform noise analysis. Experience with BQQ-10 sonar. Experience with BQH-9 recorder, Alpha/Bravo trials, and Sonar Calibration trials a plus. Must have working knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Verbal and written communications skills for working in a team environment a must.
Prefer background as a SSN sonar technician. Requires minimum DoD SECRET Clearance
