General Ledger Accountant - Join a Dynamic and Collaborative Team!

Location: In-Office position - Clarksburg, MD

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Manage, reconcile, and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Tax Filings & Compliance: Oversee sales & use tax filings (MD, VA, DC), property taxes, and other local filings.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow statements) and assist with budgeting and variance reports.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset accounts and depreciation schedules using Sage Fixed Assets software.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 3-4 years of accounting experience (construction, real estate, or waste management preferred).
  • Experience with GAAP principles, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Proficiency in Timberline/Sage CRE300 software is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a drug test (including marijuana) and maintain good credit.
