MSA the Child and Adolescent Center in Columbia, MD is seeking a full time IOP Therapist/Treatment Coordinator. This position provides an opportunity to deepen clinical skills working with children, adolescents and families in a multi-disciplinary, team-focused, clinical environment. The child and adolescent intensive outpatient programs are run in virtual and in-person capacities.

Candidates should minimally be licensed at the graduate level (LGPC/LMSW) in the state of Maryland in order to be considered for the position. IOP Therapist/Treatment Coordinator position facilitates therapy groups, individual sessions, and family meetings for the intensive outpatient program, as well as manages a caseload of up to 10 program participants (ages 8-18) to create treatment and discharge plans, and to coordinate support with school counselors and outpatient providers. The individuals will attend team meetings daily, working alongside other therapists, the Clinical Director and program psychiatrist to provide care for the children and adolescents. There is ample free supervision available at this site to work towards LCPAT, LCPC and/or LCSW-C licensure. IOP Therapists/Treatment Coordinators will have the opportunity to build an individual caseload of outpatient clients.

MSA is a private community mental health center located in Columbia, Maryland. We work with patients from the ages of 3 through 21. MSA has a full complement of staff including board-certified child psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and masters trained licensed therapists. The center provides a full range of outpatient services including intensive outpatient, medication management and traditional outpatient care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Maryland Clinical license (LMSW, LGPC, LGPAT) or currently pending application approval
  • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for helping young patients and their families
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality
