Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. Required to be local to the DC Metro Region. This is a hybrid role and requires to be onsite in the Columbia, MD office 4 times per month. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: Build Web and backend application/services for credentialing/case management system. Using Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment. Qualifications Basic Qualifications BA/BS with 2 years of relevant work experience; or MS/MA degree; or 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
Candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#)
Previous experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber
Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber
Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases
Experience with REST/SOAP webservices and APIs
Experience with SQL
U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications Hands on experience in Open Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)
Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
Prior experience with front-end development including JavaScript frameworks
Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program
Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
Active Secret Level Security Clearance preferred
Target Salary Range $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
