Job description

The System Engineer will be instrumental to the testing and maintenance of a mission critical software application, working to streamline and enhance our testing processes and continuous integration ecosystem. You will join a team of 20+ who work together to provide full-lifecycle support to a software application providing audio ingest, storage, query, playback, analysis, and transcription capabilities. The application is used by national and tactical analysts on small systems (laptops) and large systems (server farms). Given the flexibility of the application, and the various install scenarios, testing, configuration management and documentation is key to the continued success of the application. This program allows hybrid work from home opportunities when applicable Responsibilities: DevOps team member performing system upgrades, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting. Create, update, and maintain use case test suite. Generate & update user documentation to include installation guide, user guide, and system admin guide. Monitor and address user support tickets via Jira Help Desk. Collaborate with development team on tasks such as new functionality, testing and issue resolution. Perform release testing. Skills Required: Proficient in Linux commands. Proficient in Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Mattermost. Proficient in DB query language such as MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, and Elastic. Familiarity with Enterprise processing systems and data flow. Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Kanban, & Scrum. Knowledge of automated CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GithubActions). Must have basic knowledge of the SDLC. Must possess strong analytical skills to identify and isolate defects in complex systems. Detail oriented, organized, team contributor Required Qualifications: 10 years with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Systems Engineering (or related field). 4 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required. (IAT Level 2 is possession of one of the following: CCNA Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP) Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required At CyberCore, we believe in taking care of our employees both inside and outside the workplace. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels.
