Job Title: Systems Administrator Senior (Storage) - TS/SCI Required Company: Apex Systems Location: On-site, Ft. Our work depends on a Systems Administrator Senior joining our team to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). How a Systems Administrator Senior Will Make an Impact:
Operate and sustain the daily operational use of a VMware infrastructure, including updating, testing, and deploying vSphere and vCenter product releases.
Manage and administer physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows and Linux servers.
Support and manage server virtualization, provisioning, physical server maintenance, security compliance, and daily operations.
Manage VMware vSphere with an emphasis on automation, enterprise storage, and backup system administration.
Maintain server lifecycle, including provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of hardware.
Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environment's health status, service performance, and utilization.
Implement and maintain continuous compliance with information security policies and technical standards.
Apply regular security patches and software updates.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including transitioning and migrating corporate systems.
Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Provide installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems.
Perform configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems and implement incident response procedures during network or host security breaches.
Review customer requirements and make recommendations for changes to existing technical architecture.
Comply with prescribed customer, industry, and agency standards.
Support IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Support, administer, and maintain enterprise data center systems comprised of physical and virtual servers, storage, backups, monitoring, automation, and eventually Hybrid Cloud management.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's with ten years of experience. Required Skillset:
In-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
Ability to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
Required Certification(s):
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required before support on contract.
IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
Computing Environment: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date). Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
The position may require lifting objects (e.g., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (e.g., plugging in cables), and other moderately strenuous activities.
Travel may be required to support the mission.
