Job description

Duties Executes the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and/or component piece parts. Supports validating higher headquarters planning assumptions at the National Item Identification Number (NIIN) level, program level planning assumptions, other service requirements, consumable item transfers, return and demand history, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements. Coordinates with various stakeholders such as the weapon system team and the systems analysts to maintain complete and correct demand material master coding in the ERP system by submitting change requests to the material master cell. Requirements Conditions of Employment This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty. Occasional TDY may be required This position requires a secret security clearance This position may require a one-year probationary period Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify at the GS09 grade level you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service performing the following duties; 1. Assisting with evaluating analysis provided to resolve difficult demand planning issues involving processes, work methods and/ or supply data management; AND 2. Utilizing various supply database systems to help sustain supply levels OR 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree in a field directly related to the position or master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field directly related to the position. OR A combination of education and experience. When combining education with experience, first determine the applicant's total qualifying education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level (education must be in a field directly related to the position); then determine the applicant's experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; finally, add the two percentages. The percentage must equal 100%. To qualify at the GS11 grade level you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service performing the following duties; 1. Assisting with evaluating analysis provided to resolve difficult demand planning issues involving processes, work methods and/ or supply data management; 2. Utilizing various supply database systems to help sustain supply levels; AND 3. Monitoring the effectiveness of material support provided to ensure forecasting techniques are being met. OR 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
