Job description

Duties You will plan, develop, analyze, manage, and execute procurement actions in support of ship construction, major modernization, shipboard equipment replacement projects. You will support the Navy's ship construction program coordinate and direct activities within command and external commands to establish an initial ship outfitting baseline of material requirements with cost estimates. You will develop five-year spending and phasing plans, managing financial execution of current fiscal year funds to meet ship construction, major modernization, shipboard equipment replacement project benchmarks. You will maintain visibility and report procurement status from initiation of procurement action through receipt with various internal and external Data Management and Query Tools. You will prepare written and oral presentations on Class VIII (medical and dental) materiel procurement and financial status. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet. Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Articulating, presenting, and promoting, clearly and effectively, varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Selecting, acquiring, storing, and distributing resources in the most efficient way possible. Processing data and using it to determine an item/system's support needs and preferred support methods. Using the reliability and maintainability, operational requirements, existing support systems and integrated logistical support objectives as inputs and it outputs an integrated support plan for the item/system's life-cycle.
