Position Summary The Security Specialist II is responsible for all functions associated with the role of site security, including but not limited to personnel, physical, operations, and communications security disciplines.
Annualized pay rate for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL • Responsible for the positive control of all classified accountable items, ensuring that Oceaneering is compliant with contractual security obligations identified in the contract security classification specification (DD Form 254).
• Support personnel requests for security clearances to include initiation, maintaining, crossing-over, and termination. • Process all Visit Authorization Request (VAR) (incoming and outgoing) and security clearance verifications for both collateral and program cleared visitors.
• Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization by conducting regular training sessions and ensuring that employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining security compliance.
• Coordinate with contract field locations as applicable.
• Support preparation for program facility security inspection and participate in as needed.
• Administer briefings to include program specific indoctrination, foreign travel, defensive security, and courier briefings as needed.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Maintain DD Form 254 files for all classified contracts and prepares DD Form 254 for subcontractors as required.
• Maintain the accuracy, security, and privacy of different types of Controlled Unclassified, classified, and sensitive information.
• Support the development of transportation plans to secure movement of official classified or unclassified contract materials. Track and maintain the chain of custody on all accountable packages, parcels, and equipment being transported in support of contract requirements.
• Utilize various Microsoft Office Suite and various database management tools to perform day-to-day administrative tasks. • Remain current with DOD established security policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required (up to 10%).
• Additional duties as assigned by Program Security Manager. Qualifications REQUIRED • BS/BA degree in a related field (e.g. Criminal Justice/Criminal Law, Homeland Security, Business Administration) preferred. Four years' work experience in a related career or Military Occupational Specialty may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum two years of personnel security specialist experience required.
• Working knowledge and experience implementing: o Department of Defense (DoD) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
o Relevant Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
o DoD 5105.21-M-1.
o Communications Security (COMSEC) policy guidance.
o Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) Manual 6/0. • Experience in preparing for and hosting security audits is required.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
• Technical writing skills.
• Top Secret (TS) security clearance with investigation conducted within the past five years.
• Successful completion of a CI polygraph to support contract requirements as needed.
