Job description
OPS Consulting is seeking a Linux Engineer to work in Laurel, MD. As Systems Engineering support at OPS Consulting, you will utilize your expertise in the science of condensed matter or solid state physics, heterostructure quantum devices and cryogenics, and modeling & simulation of quantum inspired devices to provide analysis and technical advice/assistance to the customer. You will work closely with customer engineer and technical teams to facilitate complex technology development. Responsibilities may include: Responsible for analyzing, designing and executing the requirements of the Linus Solution to include Red Hat and Rocky Linus in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems Analytically and systematically evaluates problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action Responsible for the system requirements, interface definitions (internal as well as external) Manages team's full life cycle system implementation efforts Subject matter in one or more Linux Technologies to include integration points and adjacent technologies Provide reach back to Red Hat and /or CIQ rocky Linus engineering in order to obtain and/or request hotfixes, future enhancements, or product road map visibility Must be knowledge of the following: Red Hat Linux, Rocky Linux, Ansible, Network Automation, System Automation Linux scripting Basic Qualifications: Twenty (20) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Required Skills: • Experience developing technical plans for complex capability development • Demonstrated expertise in test plans, procedures, and test result analysis • Experience writing, reviewing, and presenting technical documentation at the program level • Experience with system design and requirements management • Experience overseeing technical reviews Security Clearance: A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required. Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
