CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot Want to join the world's largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and Commercial Agencies? KBR is seeking a CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot to join our highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team, providing over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support in Patuxent River, MD. As a long-term incumbent and leader in flight tests, the selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight tests. Responsibilities: This position supports HX-21 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), NAS Patuxent River, MD. The applicant must be able to perform the duties of a CH-53K developmental test pilot and project officer.The selected candidate will support a wide range of NAWCAD test and evaluation requirements to include; test planning meetings, test plan development, event planning, test procedure and card development, flight briefings, test execution, post event support, test reporting, and deficiency reporting. Basic Qualifications: Education: A rotary wing pilot graduate of a full-length course of instruction from a recognized test pilot school (e.g., the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, EPNER Test Pilot School, etc.) required Experience: Minimum Ten (10) years of experience . Three (3) years of rotary wing RDT&E flight experience is required. Previous H-53 aircraft qualification and Heavy Lift Mission experience are desired.
A minimum of 1,500 total flight hours and 1,000 first pilot hours in rotary wing aircraft are required. A minimum of 2,000 and a current or previous qualification in the H-53 aircraft is strongly desired. Current aircraft qualification and recent experience with rotary wing T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices preferred.
Current or recent flying status is preferred. Certifications: Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as annual FAA Class II flight physical Travel: Travel, sometimes extensive, will be required to support this position. Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen with a current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week Relocation: KBR may offer relocation assistance to qualified candidates Compensation: $160,000-240.000 The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
