Job description
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI)/Yankee White clearance or the ability to obtain a TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI)/Yankee White clearance to be considered. As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen. This role involves developing detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, tools, and controls using computer-assisted drafting equipment. They produce three-dimensional models with CAD software, creating schematic views to depict functional relationships. Responsibilities also include modifying designs to address operational issues, and analyzing specifications and data to assess design factors and procedures. Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist: $

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist Responsibilities Include: • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls.
• Utilize computer-assisted drafting equipment to create accurate drawings.
• Produce three-dimensional models using CAD software.
• Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, and angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
• Modify and revise designs to address operating deficiencies or production issues.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and data.
• Assess factors affecting component designs and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members.
• Provide technical support and expertise as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: • Associate degree in a field related to the position description. 3 years' experience required.
• Computer Systems Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with computer systems.
• Maintenance and Repair: Proficiency in maintaining and repairing computer systems and related equipment.
• Autodesk Product Design Suite: Experience using Autodesk software such as AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Raster Design, AutoCAD HSM, and AutoCAD Vault.
• Numerical Control (NC) Code Conversion: Skill in converting NC generated code into Prototroch System Computer Numerical Code (G-code).
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the field of computer systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Utilize four years of experience in computer systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair to effectively perform job duties.
• Ensure familiarity with relevant programs such as NAVAIR and NAWCAD, adhering to standards and guidelines as required.
