Position Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Lexington Park, MD
Clearance: Active Top Secret (Required)
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 About the Role:
Join a team at the forefront of advanced defense technologies as a Systems Engineer. In this role, you will support the execution of key engineering processes and analyze the performance, compatibility, and interoperability of complex weapons systems in a multi-level security environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers and program managers, to manage ongoing system performance and ensure seamless integration and operation of critical defense systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on highly sensitive and impactful projects, with the chance to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What You'll Do: • Analyze & Optimize: Conduct in-depth analysis of system performance, effectiveness, and compatibility to ensure operational success in a complex environment. • Collaborate: Work closely with government and program management to manage the integration and effectiveness of weapons systems. • Develop & Plan: Create and implement modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) strategies to meet program goals and constraints. • Evaluate & Test: Review and evaluate test requirements, ensuring the completeness of the MS&A portion of the test program. • Document & Report: Assist in creating technical documentation, interim reports, and maintain organized filing systems for system and subsystem specifications. Key Responsibilities: • Support the Government Program Manager in managing multiple weapons systems. • Provide feedback on vendor design reviews and development processes. • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support program execution. • Participate in engineering working groups and readiness reviews. • Assist in maintaining engineering documentation standards and ensuring compliance with test procedures. • Support systems engineering processes, program management, and technical meetings. What You'll Bring to the Team: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. • Experience: 5+ years of engineering experience, including system integration and testing. • Technical Expertise: Experience with weapon systems, RF sensors, material analysis, testing, modeling, and simulation. • Communication: Ability to develop compelling briefing materials and deliver clear and coherent presentations; excellent writing skills. • Security: Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy weapons systems acquisition programs, including programs requiring Special Access. Preferred Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience with multi-level security programs. • A combination of theoretical knowledge, hands-on engineering, managerial expertise, and field experience.
