Information System Security Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None The Opportunity: The team develops and maintains high quality analytics, running on authoritative data sources to improve service performance, reliability, agility, and scalability. The team provides support to legacy systems while facilitating the transition to new and innovative improvements. Responsibilities: Support SCA process, ISSO processes, and provide technical expertise to prepare and guide the team and mission customers focused on accreditation requirements Description: The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and recommend mitigation strategies. Validates and verifies system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security designs. Designs, develops, implements and/or integrates IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements. Builds IA into systems deployed to operational environments. Qualifications: DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required CISSP Certification is required. Fourteen (14) years' experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree. - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
