Duties As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: The incumbent in this position will serve as the Chief of Facilities Operations will oversee a team of facility specialists and Building Managers. This role entails planning, integrating, and coordinating maintenance concepts, policies, and procedures across various functional areas, including supply, transportation, financial management, engineering, storage, and acquisition systems, to create a comprehensive logistics maintenance plan. For complex issues that cannot be addressed through conventional methods. The incumbent will research trends and patterns to develop innovative programs aimed at resolving these challenges. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a routine basis. If selected, the incumbent must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as indicated in job announcement. The incumbent must obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI). Incumbent is subject to random drug screening. The incumbent be required to travel via passenger aircraft. Incumbent may be required to operate automotive passenger vehicles in connection with the performance of duties. A valid driver's license is required. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Oversight and/or supervision of Logistics Management centered personnel that provide building/facility/site management, building/facility/site maintenance, supply, procurement, transportation, inventory management, quality assurance, disposal, and various other logistic related services. Establishes short and long-term plans for managing facilities, real property, special projects, budget forecasting and execution. Provides administrative oversight responsibility for multiple locations and associated DCSA organizations' real property, including Support Agreements and Service Contracts. Manages support and/or services through inter- and intra-service support agreements. Planning and Evaluating: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
