Description Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Test Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a leadership role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge test automation solutions to ensure the highest quality and performance of software applications. You will leverage your in-depth expertise in testing methodologies and tools to optimize the testing process and drive continuous improvement in software development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Possess and apply expertise on complex testing assignments, requiring originality and innovation in developing test automation strategies and solutions.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement state-of-the-art test automation tools and frameworks.
Develop, maintain, and upgrade robust and scalable automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
Lead the team in optimizing the test automation process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Independently design, implement, and conduct comprehensive test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
Assess, design, and conceptualize complex test scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, and tools aligned with testing requirements.
Analyze test results, identify and report defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Serve as a subject matter specialist (SME), providing in-depth testing knowledge and expertise in support of user requirements for highly complex software/hardware applications.
Direct and participate in all phases of risk management assessments, with emphasis on user requirement analysis, test design, and tool selection.
Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
Mentor and guide junior test automation engineers on best practices and methodologies. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/TSCI) security clearance.
Proven experience in leading and implementing successful test automation strategies.
In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing, performance testing) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
Expertise in scripting languages used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
