RADAR Engineer
LCAT: Engineer POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Support program execution and engineering processes through the analyses of system performance, effectiveness, compatibility and interoperability in an extremely complex System of System (SoS) environment. Work with customer, functional management, project engineering, and program management to create the analytical environment to critically analyze system performance, effectiveness, compatibility and interoperability of an extremely complex System of System (SoS) environment in a multi-level security environment.
Must possess the ability to rapidly understand new concepts, apply them accurately in an evolving and complex environment, and effectively organize, schedule and coordinate work phases and tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required. Theoretical, engineering, managerial, and field experience desired to serve as a critical asset on a small program team that demands high levels of cross-functional knowledge. Previous experience is required in the following technical areas:
• Radar Systems
• RF Sensors
• Anti-Tamper
• Sensor Integration & Test
• Operations
• Modeling and Simulation Specific Duties and Responsibilities include: • Support Government Chief Engineer in the development AESA Radar systems. • Review and provide SME feedback to vendor design reviews and development processes. • Develop modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A) strategies that support overall program goals and constraints • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the MS&A portion of the test program • Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) • Participate in engineering working groups and engineering readiness reviews, as needed • Assist in the development of engineering technical documentation • Assist in the development of interim and final reports • Establish and maintain a program filing system or databases for technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures • Support program management and systems engineering processes and meetings REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related technical area • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in engineering positions • Minimum ten (10) years' experience with integration and testing of RF systems • MATLAB or MS Access experience • Ability to create compelling, coherent briefing products; excellent writing skills • Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy Weapons Systems acquisition program engineering at levels up to and including Special Access Required • Active Top Secret security clearance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • At least three years' previous experience with classified programs • A combination of theoretical, engineering, managerial, and field experience
