As a RADAR Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and analyzing advanced radar systems in an extremely complex System of Systems (SoS) environment. This role is perfect for those who thrive on technical challenges, as you will work with cutting-edge AESA radar systems, ensuring performance, compatibility, and integration in a multi-level security setting. This position requires collaboration with government, engineering, and project management teams to create an analytical framework for evaluating the effectiveness and interoperability of radar systems that support critical defense programs. If you enjoy working on complex problems and contributing to high-impact national security projects, this is the role for you! What You'll Do: • Analyze & Optimize: Conduct in-depth analyses of radar system performance, ensuring compatibility and interoperability within complex SoS environments. • Collaborate & Innovate: Work with cross-functional teams, including government engineers and program managers, to evaluate system effectiveness in a secure, multi-level environment. • Develop & Test: Develop modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) strategies to support radar program goals and constraints. • Evaluate & Review: Review and assess test requirements to ensure the MS&A portions are complete and aligned with overall program objectives. • Document & Report: Assist in the development of technical documentation, interim reports, and maintain databases for system and subsystem specifications.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide subject matter expert (SME) feedback on vendor design reviews and development processes for AESA radar systems. • Develop detailed Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to guide the radar program's engineering processes. • Participate in engineering working groups and readiness reviews, ensuring alignment with program milestones. • Maintain compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. • Support program management and systems engineering processes, including meetings and technical discussions. What You'll Bring to the Team: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. • Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience, with a strong focus on RF systems integration and testing. • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with radar systems, RF sensors, anti-tamper technologies, sensor integration and testing, operations, and modeling & simulation. • Tools: Experience with MATLAB or MS Access is required. • Communication: Ability to develop clear and compelling briefings and reports; strong writing and presentation skills. • Security: Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy weapons systems acquisition programs, including those requiring Special Access. Preferred Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience with classified programs. • A blend of theoretical knowledge, practical engineering, managerial expertise, and field experience is highly desirable.
