Position Description

GTMR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our family. In this role you will plan and execute all system administrative activities, coordinate and communicate with Program Management and Lead Engineers. The position will be located at our customer site at NAS Patuxent River MD. In this position, you will work our customer's Compressed Work Schedule which consists of working four 9 hour days (M-Th) and an 8-hour day (F) for the first week of a cycle followed by four 9-hour days (M-Th) and being off on the second Friday for the second week of a cycle. This results in a 3-day weekend every other week!

Position Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all SA activities: System Installs, Site Hardening, STIG compliance, Initial Scan, Site Updates
  • Coordinate & communicate effectively with Program Management, Lead Engineers, ISSM/ISSO/ISSE
  • Coordinate with SSA on System Administrator Manual (SAM) updates and sustainment
  • Lead Team(s) of Network Engineers & Sys Admin personnel for engineering, test, and integration efforts
  • Lead teams in providing Tier Three (T3) support to operational platforms and deployed technicians
  • Coordinate with 10 th Fleet and other agencies
  • Plan Life Cycle upgrade paths to meet project needs
  • Review and Submit Networks and System Admin NATOPS and other pubs inputs
    1. (checklists, Warnings / Cautions / Notes, supplementary info, etc.)
  • Plan System Road Maps for projects/mission systems
  • Work with Configuration Management (CM) on maintaining HSCMs for ME products

Required Experience

  • 10-15+ years of experience in tactical networking.
  • US DoD TS Clearance, SSBI/SBPR/PPR (within 5 years), with the ability to obtain SCI required access and maintain CI Poly
  • Security + CE Certification is required within 6 months and must be maintained
  • Experience with Cisco IOS, Ruckus ICX, VMware ESXI, Cisco UCS
  • Experience with MIL SATCOM & Commercial SATCOM service providers with airborne equipment. Highly desired experience includes working with EDM satcom terminals and ARSTRAT certification and testing process
  • 7+ years of experience with Cyber Security teams, RMF processes, Information Assurance compliance
  • Experience in Linux/Windows Systems Administration
  • Experience with cryptographic equipment setup
  • Experience as MID-LEVEL Network Engineer / Sys Admin
  • Experience with SIGINT systems design, integration and networking
  • Proficient in the following software packages: Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and others

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with MIL SATCOM, Commercial SATCOM, ELINT, COMINT, FISINT, WAN, Ethernet Cabling, Fiber Optic Cabling, Mil STD 1553B interfaces, INS and GPS interfaces, ability to troubleshoot across multiple subsystems, integration and test.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution

Work shifts are variable and could include day/evening/night. Possible weekend work may be necessary depending on customer requirements and schedules.

Occasional travel will be required
