Job description

Description As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide programmatic and technical management support to the SIMCAP program and external interfaces. This position is not eligible for daily telework; work will be performed on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant STEM degree is required
Operational knowledge and experience interfacing with Semi-automated Forces (SAF) simulation systems like Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) and MSEA's Next Generation Threat System (NGTS/AMIE)
Familiarity with simulated Weapon Servers, Navy Aviation Distributed Training Center (NADTC), and Navy Aviation Simulation Master Plan (NASMP) trainer systems
Demonstrated experience with distributed simulation and interoperability experience, seamlessly connecting simulation systems over the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) network
Well-versed in the areas of Cyber Security, Cross Domain Solution (CDS), and ATO requirements, and have a good understanding of JBUS gateway, DRMS/ASTI Radios, and distributed stimulation protocols (DIS, HLA, and TENA)
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projectsSecurity Clearance Requirements: This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
