Job Type Full-time Description What You'll Do: As the System Security Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to provide specialized systems engineering support to the government customer in PMA-271 based at NAS Patuxent River, MD. You will use your knowledge and experience to provide technical support for secure software development and integration tasks to the PMA-271 platforms. Responsibilities: Analyzing and recommending resolution of systems security/cybersecurity problems based on knowledge of the major Cybersecurity products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and knowledge of the IA disciplines. Performing risk analyses including risk assessment of the software and hardware in the E-6B architecture.
Providing technical support for secure software development and integration tasks, including reviewing work products for accuracy and adhering to the design concept and to user standards. Developing program protection plan identifying critical program information, critical components, and controlled technical Information requiring specific protections.
Providing ongoing security analysis and assessing systems, applications, and networks within PMA-271 to proactively identify and protect critical resources and advise management regarding threat assessment and countermeasures. Assisting the Chief Engineer and the Lead Systems Security Engineer to maintain the proper security processes and reporting requirements. Requirements Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, business, or information systems management field is required.
At least 5 years of business, management, development, and integration experience with aircraft, weapons and/or operations, with at least 3 years of experience in the Naval Aviation systems engineering field.
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience preparing project budgets and SOWs.
Skilled in the development of systems engineering documentation e.g., Anti-Tamper Plans, Test Plans, PMPs, SEMP/SAMPs, ICD, CDD, and CPD in accordance with the latest DoD 5000 series instructions.
Able to provide technical documentation evaluations such as prime contractor deliverables, system specifications, functional requirements documents, mission planning documents.
Must have design experience relative to aircraft in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware/Software Integration, or System Integration.
Demonstrated capability in planning, management, budgeting, coordinating technical requirements, and contract requirements
Knowledge of developing DoD acquisition and technical documentation in support of anti-tamper efforts and the ability to perform technical analysis of anti-tamper capabilities.Who You Are: You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
