Outpatient Imaging - Medical Plaza
Adventist HealthCare is hiring a Mammography Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging Services in Rockville, MD. Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. ( Current AHC employees not eligible - see below under additional details.)
As a Mammography Technologist you will:
• Performs mammography procedures on scheduled shifts, operates mammography equipment.
• Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
• Maintains open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Presents a positive image to community and professional contacts.
• Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol; Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
Qualified candidates will possess:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be registered as a Mammography Technologist by the A.R.R.T./NMTCB
• Licensed by the State of Maryland
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least two years of experience in mammography required
• Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
• Ability to input data into the computer, and analyze data as requested.
Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday 7:30am -4:00pm
Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.
Pay Range:
$34.58 - $51.87
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
