The Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or engineering services to aid management in bidding on or determining the price of a product or service. We are looking for an individual that can use their Cost Estimator experience to add value and make a significant impact as a Cost Estimator to NAVAIR for this opportunity. Primary Responsibilities: Leads tasks with little or no guidance. Prepare cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or engineering services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product or service. May specialize according to particular service performed or type of product manufactured. Qualifications: Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Must have interim clearance before start date) Must possess a valid Maryland Drivers License Education Required: Junior: Bachelor's degree or a qualifying substitution of 6 years experience in an engineering, technical, or business discipline Journeyman: Bachelor's degree or a qualifying substitution of 9 years in an engineering, technical, or business discipline Years of Experience Required: Junior: 0-3 years of relevant experience Journeyman: 3 years of experience directly related to the DoD is required Work Conditions: Conditions will vary. Capable of working outdoors and occasionally from elevated work platforms with a fall protection harness and in temperatures ranging from 0-120. The position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Overtime is a requirement of this position.
