Essential Job Functions:
A creative, out-of-the-box thinker to work in a rapid development environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers who design, develop, evaluate, test, verify, validate, and provide in-service engineering support.
This position is an on-site software engineer position at Webster Outlying Field in Saint Inigoes, MD.
This position may require travel in support of system product installation, support, system operation verification and testing, and certification.
Responsibilities include:
- Display knowledge of ASP.Net, C#, and full-stack development, while also working with a backend database (Oracle). Explain any troubleshooting, debugging of code, and problem-solving work in support of the products we build and maintain.
- Use modern design and development and software configuration management (SCM) to perform software validation testing, including unit testing, integration testing and system testing.
- Experience with Oracle Database development and web application development utilizing an Oracle backend.
- Possess good systems engineering fundamental skills necessary for the success of every project we develop for the customer.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Engineering is required.
Interim Secret Clearance required on Day 1.
Experience connecting with Oracle databases for web applications.
Familiar with ARC GIS applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to Travel as needed in support of site installations and visits.
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
Desired Skills:
Experience with ARC GIS applications.
C# or C/C++ experience.
Server hardware maintenance experience.
