Job description

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a non-profit organization in Silver Spring, Maryland seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Analyst specializing in B2B collections. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with the clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management:

    • Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
    • Develop and execute collection strategies to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
    • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
  • Account Reconciliation:

    • Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy of billing and payments.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts, including short payments and deductions.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections performance, and aging accounts.
    • Analyze trends in payment patterns and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and facilitate collections.
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and payment terms.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts receivable function.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance billing and collections processes.
