Job description

Our client a law firm located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support its practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients, defendants, and court clerks regarding case statuses.
  • Organize and manage case files using electronic databases and case management software (JST CollectMax).
  • Handle billing processes, including entering court costs and payments, and resolving any billing issues.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • 1+ years relevant experience required.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with diverse audiences.

Work Environment:

  • The office is conveniently located near public transportation with free parking available.
  • Standard schedule of M-F, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • This is a temporary, indefinite position with an hourly rate of $20-$23.
