Job description

Requires US Citizenship Employment Term and Type: Regular, Full Time Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI Required Education: High School or equivalent experience Salary Band - $145,000 to $175,000 This position qualifies for sign-on bonuses and relocation reimbursement Job Description: Provide general system administration support, to include system maintenance/upgrades, OS/software security patching, AV compliance patching, software and hardware transitions, firmware updates, system and network troubleshooting, and system integration of Unix and Linux operating systems running on SPARC/x86 hardware supporting the ONI CDS enterprise. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, developing SOPs, Unix shell scripting, server rack work, user account management and regular verbal/written communication with customers, vendors and technical personnel. Position requires 24/7 support (including holidays and weekends) of mission critical systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operation and maintenance (O&M) support of all CDS systems Installation, configuration and system hardening of Unix/Linux operating systems Installation and configuration of GOTS and COTS software components Integration support with other systems, enterprise services and components Functional software configuration development to support customer and/or security requirements Coordinate with ISSM/ISSO in support of IATT and ATO requirements Adhere to Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices for system management Develop and maintain system design documentation and technical SOPs Engage with mission business owners and stakeholders to determine project design requirements Assist team with IT solutions design and development for complex project initiatives Required Qualifications Eight years' experience with Cross Domain systems DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification Building and maintaining Unix/Linux operating systems Sparc and x86 hardware platform maintenance (memory upgrades/component replacements) Unix Shell Scripting OS/Software installation/patching/upgrading Desired Qualifications ISSE Guard v5 X-ARBITOR XD Bridge cross domain appliances Solaris/RHEL operating systems VMware vSphere 6.x Bachelor's degree Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Security Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI Physical Requirements: Sitting 70% Standing 30%, Climbing 0%, Walking 10%, Lifting up to 50lbs 0%, Pulling/Pushing up to 50lbs 5%, Carrying up to 25lbs 10%, Grasping 5%, Stooping or Crouching 5%, Crawling on hands and knees 0%, Reaching 10%, Near Acuity, Color Determination 100%, Speaking with customers 50%, Listening 50%, Sight 100%, Use of Hands/Fingers 90% Travel CONUS and OCONUS 5% Exposure to outside environments (cold/heat/wind/humidity) 5% Exposure to noise sufficient to cause the need for shouting to be heard 10% Exposure to hazards cush as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals 5% Supervisory duties - None This position description is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with this job.
